Freemans Organic Farm Est. 1915

A mutli faceted 109 year old family farm: the oldest continuous banana farm in Australia. Now the farm is an organic farm practising Regenerative Agriculture, Composting, Permaculture growing 85 different types of exotic fruit trees, vegetables, herbs, flowers, and coffee. The farm also has an organic farm produce shop and an organic cafe. The farm has a keen focus on education, training and rehabilitation and has had more than 3,000 school and university students attend the educational farm tours where they learn the principles of organic farming and the direct link to human health. Also, the farm conducts workshops for Defence veterans to assist in their rehabilitation. as well as sponsoring a charity called ’The Veterans Organic Garden Ltd” which is a 5,000m2 organic garden and food forest for veterans to spend time in nature and recuperate and heal. The program is called “Healing through Farming’. The farm has been featured on a number of TV and media programs. Most recently it featured on Channel 9 “My Way” TV program in December 2022.

Freemans Organic farm is in the process of building a sustainable environmentally friendly cafe which can trade 7 days a week and Friday and Saturday nights until 8pm.
